The 20th National Herbal Fair, a platform for Thai herbs, Thai wisdom, and Thai economy, was held from June 28th to July 2nd, 2023, at Halls 11 - 12, Impact, Muang Thong Thani. The fair was organized to share, exchange, and disseminate knowledge, innovative technology, and experiences in Thai traditional medicine, folk medicine, alternative medicine, and herbs to the general public, health professionals, academics, researchers, experts, and both local and foreign entrepreneurs.
In addition, the fair provided an opportunity to promote the market for business sectors and society with the goal of improving the public and societal health and enhancing the economic value in health products and services such as herbal products, spas, and wellness tourism. The fair supported and promoted Thai herbs, cannabis, and hemp to become economically valuable plants with medical benefits, and provided opportunities for the public to access and use them for health safely.
Within the fair, a myriad of activities took place. Exhibitions and demonstrations under the theme "Thai Herbs & Medical Cannabis for Health & Wealth" presented issues about Innovation & Product, Wellness & Thainess Tourism, and a Health Zone. The Health Zone highlighted wisdom in health care and provided health consultation services at the "Suksamran Nittra Clinic" for treating chronic pain and insomnia. A new dimension of comprehensive treatment was unveiled, along with the introduction of the "Harm Reduction Model" for addiction rehabilitation and palliative care. Free consultation services were offered to promote health care, alongside seminars for exchanging information about Thai traditional medicine, folk medicine, alternative medicine, and herbs, in collaboration with foreign participants.
