Reforestation Project in Honor of His Majesty the King (Khao Phaeng Ma)
Chaloem Phrakiat Reforestation Project (Khao Phaeng Ma) is located in Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. It is a project under the supervision of the Wildlife and Plant Protection Foundation of Thailand by reforestation and reforestation. The wildlife has started to return especially the last herd of 300 gaurs that live here. It is regarded as the top spot for watching wild bulls in Thailand. The extraction point of Khao Sung Khao Phaeng Ma is a popular view point for tourists to come and see the herd of gaur that come out for food in the morning and evening. Additionally, there is a location where visitors can pitch a tent and spend the night to see the splendor of the lush trees and intricately carved mountains. In addition to the bison, there are many kinds of wild animals such as barking deer, deer, and birds.
Loei Horticulture Research Center
Loei Horticultural Research Center is located in Pla Ba Subdistrict, Phu Ruea District, Loei Province. It is considered one of the main attractions of Loei Province. This place has been established as an agricultural experiment station to carry out planting seeds and experimenting with various plant varieties suitable for farming in the highlands such as peach, persimmon, Chinese chestnut, pear, strawberry, and macadamia. Later in the year 2009, the name of the Phu Ruea Agricultural Experiment Station was changed to the Loei Agricultural Research and Development Center. After that, it was transformed into a horticultural research center until today. As Loei Province has a high mountainous terrain with cool weather all year round, suitable for traveling, relaxing and enjoying nature, watching winter vegetable and fruit trees, local plants, including winter flowers. There are also houses to accommodate tourists and camping spots for tourists who want to stay overnight.
Phu Phan Royal Development Study Center
Phu Phan Royal Development Study Center is located at Ban Na Nok Khao, Huay Yang Sub-district, Mueang District, Sakon Nakhon Province. It is a center established to solve the natural resource problems of the northeastern region, including soil problems. Due to the abundance of natural resources such as forests, soil, water, and different minerals, low-quality soils that are salty and incapable of absorbing water, issues with water resources, and forests, insufficient natural water sources result in the soil being too dry for the cultivation of crops. The forest was cleared for occupation until watersheds and ecosystems were destroyed.
