The Nod Na Le way of life is a way of life of villagers and the wisdom of people in the Songkhla Lake Basin who rely on palm sugar products, farming, and lake fishing. A new group of tourists who are interested in the leisurely lifestyle are being invited to visit and experience the agricultural way of life that has been passed down through many generations thanks to the Songkhla Lake Basin’s distinctiveness and uniqueness that has been turned into a tourist attraction.
As for the way of life of the community in the Sating Phra Peninsula of Sating Phra District, Songkhla Province, it is a simple way of life with a good culture involving palmyra palm, farming, and fishing or Ha Le. In particular, palmyra palm trees here are the most abundant source of palmyra palm trees in Thailand, leading to a variety of careers.
While Ha Le is another occupation that the Sathing Phra people have lived for a long time because Songkhla Lake is rich in marine resources such as shrimp, shells, crabs, and fish that are very plentiful.
In addition, Songkhla Lake is so beautiful that it has been raised as one of the famous tourist attractions of the Land of Right Hand. For this reason, there is a (pilot) organization of tourism activities in the Nod Na Le way of life in the area of 3 sub-districts of Sating Phra District. It consists of Tha Hin Subdistricts, Khu Khut Subdistricts, and Khlong Ri Subdistricts, which offer tourism activities.
Node Way It is a way of life about palmyra palm, consisting of growing palmyra palm, splitting palmyra palm, palmyra palm sugar, making bee honey, liquid honey, processing products from palm sugar, and growing seedlings.
Na Way Farming is the main occupation of the villagers on the Sathing Phra Peninsula, where farming will alternate with palm sugar palm.
Le Way Traditional fishermen’s way of life and processing of fishery products such as Sai-Soom making, orange shrimp making, dried fish, honey boiled fish, etc.
The type of tourism will be an opportunity to engage in eco-tourism alongside a community of villagers to learn about the way of life that has been passed down from their ancestors and live independently. For example, participants will learn how to cultivate palm trees, simmer sugar, co-sow, plough, cultivate, harvest, and thresh their crops, as well as how to grow their own food and take tourists in need out on fishing boats.
