     The Ministry of Public Health invited executives and technology information teams to plan guidelines to mobilize a digital health system, to increase the accessibility and convenience of care, and to raise the ability of medical staff to act quickly. This may be achieved thanks to the connectivity of the current information system.

     The Ministry of Public Health indicated the policy in the workshop “The guideline to mobilize the digital health system management of the Ministry of Public Health.” It emphasized that digital technology has taken on an essential role in everybody’s way of life; therefore, the ministry has planned the development policy to access the digital health system by drafting a strategic health plan (in 2022-2027), setting five sub-operating plans:

  1. The contribution of good governance to the National Digital Health System by establishing the office of the National Digital Health System to develop the maximum data processing system and the digital health law;
  2. The development of the National Digital Health System and ecosystem platform by managing standard and exchange data in relation to worldwide standardization;
  3. The infrastructure and the security development to protect the cyber security of the digital health system;
  4. Promoting digital medical technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI);
  5. Developing the workforce so that it is ready to work in a sustainable digital health system.

     These are the results of establishing an environment that promotes the accessibility of digital health systems, adapting digital health service and resource management, and managing the departments to take responsibility for each plan and partnership networks to cooperate to achieve all objectives.
