Thailand's First NFT Diploma by Dhurakij Pundit University, Pioneering into the World of Web3 and Future Metaverse

In the world of learning and technology, educational institutions need to adapt to global trends, particularly as we transition from Web2 to Web3, driven by technology. This necessitates preparation for students and the conveyance of knowledge through new curricula.

Just as Dhurakij Pundit University, the first in Thailand, issued diplomas in the form of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) in 2023. The unique feature of these "NFT Diplomas" lies in their blockchain foundation, which gives them a unique identity that cannot be copied, in addition to being permanent and indestructible.

Furthermore, this opens the opportunity for students with wallets to download and submit documents for the first time since March 2023. Even alumni can register to receive their diplomas in the NFT form. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the SmartContract Blockchain Studio and IPen Studio Co., Ltd.

Dhurakij Pundit University's NFT Diploma also represents a significant step for students to open opportunities for themselves in the new world, including job opportunities, learning activities, and much more in the Metaverse and Web3 future.

Dhurakij Pundit University has also revised its curriculum, known as DPU Core, comprising six essential skills for working in the future, namely, entrepreneurship, communication, problem-solving and analytical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and technology awareness. These aim to foster knowledge and practical application.

Simultaneously, modular learning has been introduced, which involves grouping subjects that combine knowledge from various faculties into holistic teaching. Each module is stored in NFT form, preparing for the transition of teaching methods or some activities onto the Metaverse Platform.
