Ministry of Industry integrates over 2,500 nationwide water quality monitoring database Points to iSingleForm

iSingleForm, an online information reporting system for industrial operation, has been implemented by the Ministry of Industry to provide convenience for operators reporting various information, such as the monthly Ror Ngor 8 and the yearly Ror Ngor 9 reports. These tools serve as fast and reliable indicators of industrial economic conditions. In addition, operators can benefit in numerous ways, such as tracking the direction of the overall industrial economy, by industry sector and by industrial product, planning business operations, understanding the potential of the establishment, receiving advice from experts on business development, and increasing access to loans.

However, the Department of Industrial Works plans to integrate a national water quality monitoring database by linking the data from the environmental quality inspection and reporting systems of various industrial factories and related agencies to the iSingleForm, leading to a centralized database. This is done to collect basic environmental situation data for efficient industrial environmental management.

Currently, the Eastern Industrial Environmental Monitoring Center, or EIMC, based in Nong Khang Khok Subdistrict, Mueang Chon Buri District, Chon Buri Province, acts as a hub for connecting data from various industrial factories and related agencies for centralized databases. It displays continuous measurement results using a central processing program and an internet-based pollution monitoring service, allowing for real-time checks of pollution emissions from factories.

The duties encompass monitoring and testing of water pollutants, wastewater treatment sources, groundwater, air, noise, odor, soil, waste or unused materials, and hazardous materials, as well as pollution warning and monitoring tasks, and registration of private analytical laboratories. They cover eight provinces: Chachoengsao, Sa Kaeo, Prachin Buri, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Nakhon Nayok, Trat, and Samut Prakan.

In the future, data collection of water quality covering all 76 provinces, more than 2,500 points nationwide, and industrial pollution measurements from various complaints will be integrated. The linking of information from the existing iSingleForm central database, an online factory operation reporting system, will provide accurate information, streamline processes, and reduce operational costs.
