Criteria and conditions for the issuance of import-export or transit licenses for wild animals that are not conserved or protected wild animals, and not listed in the CITES Appendices (Sor Por 6)

     Criteria and conditions for an application, including permission approval, for import-export or transit licenses for wild animals that are not conserved or protected wild animals, and not listed in the CITES Appendices (Sor Por 6), are as follows:

1. The applicant for import-export or transit licenses for wild animals that are not conserved or protected wild animals, and not listed in the CITES Appendices, must comply with the following laws:

  • Wild Animal Conservation and Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019);
  • Notification of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on determining types of wild animals and carcass of a wild animal that are prohibited for importation or exportation (Sor Por 6).

Conditions for issuing the import-export or transit licenses for such wild animals are as follows:  

  1. The applicant must complete the application form for license/ approval in the FSW system. The period for preparing the license Sor Por 6 is three working days.;
  2. In the case that the considering officer has doubts about the document submitted, the officer may inform the applicant and request further clarification;
  3. The applicant has the authority to sign the acknowledgment for amending the application;
  4. In the case of incomplete or incorrect application or certification or deficient supporting documents, the responsible office is not obligated to receive the application until all related documents are complete and correct;
  5. In the case that the application or supporting documents are incomplete or inaccurate and cannot be amended at the time, the officer who accepted the application and the applicant jointly sign the memo declaring document deficiency and the list of incomplete documents, as well as specifying the time for the applicant to take corrective action. If the applicant does not take corrective action within the specified period, it shall be assumed that the applicant does not wish to apply for the certificate;
  6. The time of applying for the certificate, according to the public handbook, starts from the moment the officer completely inspects the application or supporting documents specified in the handbook;
  7. Importation of exotic species shall be approved by the committee, if they are not applicable under these specified conditions and criteria.
