Owing to the high demand for healthcare service providers in healthcare establishments for the elderly or persons with disabilities, Thailand is a preferred retirement destination for seniors. Besides the criteria and procedures for registering as a healthcare service provider in these establishments, there also are other criteria that must be understood, as follows:
- The applicant for registration as a health service provider in the elderly or disabled care facility must meet the qualifications and not have any disqualifications under Section 23 of the Health Establishment Act B.E. 2559 (2016);
- The applicant for registration must complete a 420-hour elderly care course to be eligible for enrollment;
- The applicant for registration must complete the course from an institution, organization, or agency certified by the Department of Health Service Support. For details, please visit www.thaispa.moph.go.th;
- All registration applications, operations, and coordination will be processed only through www.esta.hss.moph.go.th;
- Applying for a substitution or modification of the information in the certificate shall be considered using the same procedures as the application for registration as a healthcare service provider;
- To facilitate the registration of applicants, notifications regarding various matters will be provided through the electronic system, with the Department of Health Service Support responsible for this unit.
