U.S.-Based Think Tank Ranks Thailand's Health System Among World's Best

The Atlantic Council, a think tank based in the United States, has placed Thailand's health system at the top tier of global rankings. The institution announced scores reflecting the prosperity and stability of each country, with Thailand excelling in healthcare service with a score of 90.9. This high score reflects the excellent performance of Thailand's health system, placing it among the top-ranking globally and affirming its international credibility.

Historically, Thailand has consistently received worldwide recognition and international trust for its leadership in public health development at both global and regional levels. This includes accolades for exemplary management of COVID-19, and the trust placed in Thailand to host the ASEAN Centre for Public Health Emergencies and Emerging Diseases (ACPHEED).

Throughout the global COVID-19 crisis, Thailand was one of the countries that managed the situation exceptionally well and recovered quickly. Even after the crisis subsided, the Ministry of Public Health raised the bar for public services, including providing free dialysis and senior citizen welfare. All these are the result of the ministry's relentless effort, coupled with public participation and various sectors' collaboration, which has made Thailand's health system stand out and gain global recognition. The Ministry of Public Health maintains its conviction that a healthy Thailand is a prosperous Thailand.
