Thai cuisine, a standout feature of the country, is one of the soft powers that attract tourists from all over the world to visit Thailand. It also plays a part in promoting tourism, especially gastronomic tourism, which is a hit among foodies, and the number of such travelers is increasing every year.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand has put forward the concept of 'Food Lover Paradise,' positioning Thailand as a city rich and diverse in food culture, further enhancing the trend of food-related tourism. The 'Amazing Thai Taste Festival' will open food festivals in three provinces, stimulating local and international tourists to travel to the event locations. It will also link to community tourism, which is the source of ingredients, while helping increase overnight stays and distribute income to the grassroots economy. The locations include:
- Rayong Province, held from 3-5 June 2023 at Central Rayong.
- Chiang Mai Province, held from 28-30 July 2023 at Central Festival Chiang Mai.
- Udon Thani Province, to be held from 25-27 August 2023 at Central Udon Thani.
The event will feature a full range of delicious local restaurants, Thai food, healthy food, MICHELIN GUIDE level restaurants, and trendy popular eateries.
