Seven exciting destinations to visit this rainy season - Nhanmoddang River, Phatthalung

If you're on the hunt for the next thrilling adventure, look no further! Nhanmoddang River, located in Lan Khoi sub-district in Pa Phayom district of Phatthalung province, is your go-to spot for an adrenaline-fueled ride down some cool, refreshing waters. Perfect for families and open all year round, Nhanmoddang River is the ultimate adventure destination.

The birth of rafting at Nhanmoddang River can be traced back to “Yothin Khaokhaikaew”, a local resident, who introduced this thrilling activity to the community. The clear and pristine creek that flows from “Huay Nam Sai” reservoir and various rock rapids scattered along the river made it an ideal spot for this sport. The constant flow of water from the reservoir means you can enjoy rafting anytime throughout the year. The fun and safe experience of rafting at Nhanmoddang River has attracted more and more visitors, both Thai and foreign. As a result, about ten local resorts have popped up in the area to accommodate them.

The thrill of rafting here lies in the strong currents and the rocks scattered across various parts of the river. The difficulty level is between 2 and 3, making it suitable for the whole family, including kids as young as five. The entire course is about 5-6.5 km long and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. You can visit any time of the year, as the water flow from the Huay Nam Sai reservoir is controlled and poses no risk of flash floods. Each resort even has staff members closely monitoring the situation, and they'll even paddle for you if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

As for the cost, it's quite reasonable – around 200 Baht per person, which includes life jackets and helmets. If you can't paddle, no worries! The staff will do it for you, and you won't have to pay extra.
