BBC research indicates that, based on vacation destination searches among travelers planning to travel from North America and Europe, Thailand was the most popular destination in Southeast Asia, with 57.4% respondents intending to travel to Southeast Asia more likely to come to Thailand than any other country in the region.
Nearly four in five Europeans plan to visit Southeast Asia within the next 6 months and focus on cultural tourism and sustainability.
91% of the travelers looking for a unique culture and heritage in their preferred destination country.
And 72% of the travelers prioritize minimizing environmental impact at the local level.
