The process for inspecting foreign nationals who were born in Thailand and are departing from Thailand

     After the COVID situation eased, foreigners began traveling back to Thailand more frequently to work. Moreover, some foreigners who were unable to travel outside of Thailand during the pandemic may have had children who were born and raised in Thailand.  After the pandemic situation became less serious, there may be a need for the parents to travel abroad in order to return to their home country, and they would want their children born here to accompany them.

The process of checking foreigners born in Thailand who want to travel outside of Thailand is as follows:

  1. Check documents such as birth notification or birth certificates (since there is no entry stamp);
  2. Record the data for target verification, surveillance accounts, and for exit travel record-keeping;
  3. Stamp the permit in the passport exit document twice, noting that the child was born in Thailand, and record the birth certificate number, the issuer, and the date of issuance;
  4. Return the passport.

     Given the fact that foreign nationals who were born in Thailand do not have an entry stamp, it is, therefore, necessary to prepare the necessary documents in advance so that time will not be wasted by the officers during the document verification process and to ensure that the foreign nationals are able to conveniently leave the country.
