The Commuter Train System Red Line Guide 

       The Commuter Train System Red Line is a suburban electric train that connects the northern zone and the southern zone of Bangkok, divided into the Dark Red Line Bang Sue - Rangsit and the Light Red Line Bang Sue - Taling Chan, which is provided by the SRT Electrified Train Company Limited, running from 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight), with the following schedule:

       Bang Sue - Rangsit (Thani Ratthaya) Line; the terminal station is Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, with a length of 10 stations:

  1. Bang Sue Central Station (Terminal station connects to MRT and long-distance trains to other provinces);
  2. Chatuchak Station;
  3. Wat Samian Nari Station;
  4. Bang Khen Station;
  5. Thung Song Hong Station;
  6. Lak Si Station;
  7. Kan Kheha Station;
  8. Don Mueang Station (connects to Don Mueang Airport and long-distance trains to other provinces);
  9. Lak Hok Station (Rangsit University);
  10. Rangsit Station (Future Park Rangsit).

       Duration from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal to Rangsit Station is 25-30 minutes, with a total distance of 23.6 kilometers.

Service hours

1. Frequency: Every 12.00 min during rush hours 
    Morning: 7:00-9:30 a.m.

    Evening: 5:00-7:30 p.m.

2. Frequency: Every 20.00 minutes during non-rush hours
    First train: 5:30 a.m.

     Last train: 12:00 a.m.

Bang Sue - Taling Chan (Nakhon Withi) Line; the terminal station is Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, with a total length of three stations.

  1. Bang Sue Central Station (Terminal station connects to MRT and long-distance trains to other provinces);
  2. Bang Son Station (connects to MRT);
  3. Bang Bamru Station;
  4. Taling Chan Station.

Duration from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal to Taling Chan Station is 15 minutes, with a total distance of 15 kilometers. 

Service hours

1. Frequency: Every 20.00 min during rush hours.
    Morning: 7:00-10:30 a.m.

     Evening: 5:00-8:30 p.m.

2. Frequency: Every 30.00 minutes during non-rush hours.
    First train: 5:35 a.m.

    Last train: 12:00 a.m.

       Also, the Commuter Train System Red Line provides additional running services to support passengers traveling by long-distance trains with a connection to the Commuter Train System Red Line at Don Mueang Station, which runs all the way from Don Mueang Station to Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal from 4:30 a.m.

  1. First train from Don Mueang Station: 4:45 a.m.
  2. Second train from Don Mueang Station: 5:20 a.m.

Fares start from 12 baht and go up to 42 baht.
