Good news for Muay Thai enthusiasts! Starting soon, tourists can extend their stay in Thailand for up to 180 days solely for Muay Thai training—an extension from the previous 60-day limit. This is a golden opportunity for those who love Muay Thai and wish to develop their skills in the best environment in the world.
Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, and the Minister of Finance emphasize that the government is committed to promoting Muay Thai as a form of soft power. The government also plans to send Muay Thai instructors to teach overseas and develop the standards of Muay Thai instructors to be certified by the Department of Skills Development.
“Muay Thai” attracts enthusiasts from diverse corners of the globe, including Japan, Korea, the United States, and Russia. Longer stays mean more opportunities to explore local markets, savor Thai cuisine, and contribute to the economy. Trainers will experience increased demand for their expertise, resulting in additional income, and offering more opportunities for trainers to work abroad.
