Thailand Moves Towards a Sustainable Future! Climate Risk Index 2025 Reveals Thailand’s Progress in Reducing Climate Risks

Thailand has taken a significant step in reducing climate risks through effective adaptation and management. As a result, in the 2025 Climate Risk Index by Germanwatch, Thailand’s ranking has improved from 9th to 30th place. This ranking is based on 30 years of long-term data (1993-2022), reflecting improved disaster management and preparedness, including enhanced early warning communication, the development of water management systems, and a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

These improvements have strengthened Thailand’s resilience against future natural disasters and paved the way for sustainable growth in a low-carbon economy. With participation from all sectors, Thailand is building stronger climate resilience for a better future!
