“CHUD THAI: Knowledge, Craftsmanship and Practices of the Thai National Costume”

A proud moment for Thailand in The Hague, the Netherlands.

The Royal Thai Embassy in The Hague invites you to experience the highlight video of the “CHUD THAI” exhibition, reflecting the royal vision and dedication of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya in preserving, developing, and elevating Chud Thai and Thai textiles onto the global stage with contemporary elegance.

The exhibition featured Her Royal Highness’ special lecture on “The Evolution of Thai Costume and Thai Textiles,” an exhibition on the history and knowledge of Chud Thai, runway presentations of the royal Thai costumes, and showcases of Thai craftsmanship and heritage. The event received remarkable interest from the diplomatic corps, international media, fashion and creative industries, business sectors, and distinguished guests from around the world.

More than an exhibition, “CHUD THAI” represents the living spirit of Thai heritage — weaving together craftsmanship, cultural wisdom, identity, and creativity into a powerful expression of Thailand’s cultural legacy for the modern world.

The success of this initiative in the Netherlands marks another important milestone in carrying the story of Chud Thai and Thai Soft Power forward onto the global stage.
