Four major ministries in Thailand – the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, and the Ministry of Education – have signed a cooperation agreement to produce 62,000 medical personnel and health innovation teams over 10 years (2025-2034). The aim is to support the country's primary healthcare system, with a focus on training personnel in nine fields: doctors, nurses, nurse assistants, public health assistants, public health academics, dentists, pharmacists, emergency medical personnel, and Thai traditional medicine doctors.
This project has a budget of 37,234.48 million baht and aims to ensure that medical personnel can comprehensively care for the health of local communities. The project will also enhance teaching and learning capabilities, providing both theoretical and practical experience. Cooperation with communities and relevant sectors is vital for driving the project's long-term success.
