The Ministry of Public Health is fully backing Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University’s plan to establish a Faculty of Nursing to address the urgent shortage of medical personnel. This initiative aims to meet the nation’s healthcare demands and elevate healthcare services across the country.
The Minister of Public Health, Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin has announced his support for Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University in setting up a Faculty of Nursing to help address the nursing shortage in the region. The university has the necessary resources and will collaborate with Somdet Phra Yuparat Sa Kaeo Hospital to ensure an adequate supply of nurses to serve the public. In addition to nursing, the program will also train physical therapists and radiologic technicians.
The university has already started drafting curricula that align with the needs of the local community and neighboring regions. The Minister has urged for immediate action due to the urgent demand for professionals in these fields. Additionally, the Ministry is implementing measures to reduce the number of patients by promoting the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) to help alleviate hospital burdens.
With full support from the Ministry of Public Health, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University’s establishment of a Faculty of Nursing is set to effectively address the shortage of medical personnel. Prompt action will enable a sufficient workforce to meet the country's future needs.
