The 2nd Army Area Operations Center Situation Summary along the Thai -Cambodian Border, 7 December 2025

The 2nd Army Area Operations Center would like to clarify the situation along the Thai–Cambodian border on 7 December 2025.

 At approximately 14.00 hours, Cambodian forces opened fire on the Thai side, resulting in two Thai soldiers being injured. Both soldiers have already been transported for medical treatment to Surin Hospital and fort Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital. Doctors are currently providing close medical care. Based on an initial examination of the wounds, it is suspected that they may have been shot by a sniper 

At 20.00hours, Cambodian forces again used small arms to fire at personnel of  the 13th Infantry Battalion in the Phu Pha Lek area, Kantharalak District, Si Sa Ket Province. Our forces were unharmed. In addition, the movements of Cambodian with the RM-70 multiple rocket launchers were detected entering the Chom Krasan District area of Preah Vihear Province, along with the evacuation of Cambodian civilians away from the border.

The 2nd Army Area will continue to closely monitor the situation, increase the level of surveillance, and implement all necessary measures to protect the security of the people and the sovereignty of the nation. 

We request the public to follow information from official agencies and reaffirm that the 2nd Army Area remains committed to carrying out its duties along the border with caution, strength, and determination to maintain peace and national security.
