The 2nd Army Area Operations Center, Situation Summary along the Thai–Cambodian Border, 10 December 2025 (17.00 hours)
------------------------
Overall Situation In recent hours, the situation along the Thai–Cambodian border has continued to involve clashes across all sectors. Cambodian forces have used supporting fire into Thai territory at several key locations, creating risks for Thai troops and local civilians. Second Army Area has therefore ordered our artillery units to fire at the enemy’s various supporting-fire positions in all areas, strictly in accordance with the principle of self-defence under international law and with strict adherence to rules on the use of force.
.
Today, as of 1500 hours, Cambodian forces have used BM-21 multiple rocket launchers 79 times, firing a total of 8,160 rockets, used artillery 122 times, and employed FPV bomb-dropping drones against our forces 63 times, with a total of 125 drones.
.
In the Chong An Ma area, Cambodian forces have conducted multiple offensive operations, including the use of supporting fire and the use of hand grenades in the area of Chong An Ma, Hill 677, and the Chong An Ma market on the Thai side.
.
In the Preah Vihear area, Cambodian forces have used a construction crane as an observation point, installing cameras and radar-based detection equipment. As a result, in recent days Thai troops have been wounded and have lost their lives. Today, therefore, our forces engaged and destroyed this construction crane in order to neutralize its military capability.
.
In the Prasat Ta Khwai area, Cambodian forces have used large numbers of FPV kamikaze drones. Our drone team was attacked by enemy bomb-dropping drones, but all of our personnel are safe. The opposing side also opened fire from within the temple structure, and our forces responded with sniper fire in accordance with the situation. In addition, BM-21 rockets have landed in Kap Choeng district, Surin province, with approximately 20 rockets falling in that area.
.
Furthermore, Cambodian forces have used weapons against civilian areas on the Thai side. Today, BM-21 rockets were detected falling in an area near Phanom Dong Rak Chalerm Phra Kiat Hospital, at a distance of approximately 500 meters. After assessing the risk, Second Army Area urgently issued warnings and ordered the evacuation of medical personnel and patients to safe locations.
.
With regard to readiness to support wounded personnel, medical units of Second Army Area have prepared medical response capabilities by establishing treatment points capable of providing care for both civilians and military personnel in order to save lives in critical situations before transferring them to hospitals in the rear. Patient evacuation is conducted primarily by ambulance, and in the case of critical patients, arrangements have been made to use medical helicopters (Sky Doctor) so that they receive treatment as quickly and safely as possible.
.
Second Army Area will implement every measure necessary to ensure security and safety, and to defend the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Thailand to the fullest of its capability.
