Thai Heritage Takes Center Stage in Seoul: Over 200 Priceless Masterpieces Set to Captivate South Korea

A spectacular cultural milestone is about to unfold in Seoul. Thailand's Fine Arts Department and the National Museum of Korea are teaming up to present "Amazing Thailand: Masterpieces of Thai Art", transporting a magnificent collection of over 200 ancient artifacts to South Korea. Running from 23 June to 6 September 2026 at Special Exhibition Gallery 1 of the National Museum of Korea, the exhibition aims to showcase Thailand's rich history, far-reaching trade connections, and artistic evolution from prehistoric times to the present day.

To bring this vision to life, Thailand is lending an impressive collection of 207 priceless artifacts from across the country. Key highlights not to be missed include the iconic Sukhothai Walking Buddha, a silver-plated elephant sculpture from Hariphunchai, the Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva from the Southern Peninsula, a replica of the Royal Golden Throne, a 1,000-year-old Dhammachakka, and an ancient carved stone relief depicting the miracles of the Lord Buddha. Altogether, this exhibition marks a major milestone in bringing Thailand's extraordinary cultural heritage to the international stage.
