Thailand Elevates Its Position as a Regional Tourism Hub: Over 100,000 Workers to Receive Practical Skills Training

The Thai government is accelerating workforce development for more than 100,000 individuals across 62 provinces through a hands-on training program. Supported by the Department of Skill Development and Thammasat University, this initiative aligns with Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra's vision for the "Golden Year of Tourism 2025." The program aims to fill the demand for skilled labor in the tourism and service industries, enhancing Thailand's regional competitiveness.

The project targets three main groups: tourism and service industry workers, vocational to bachelor's degree students, and freelancers/online sellers connected to the tourism sector. The curriculum offers modern training courses ranging from professional photography and business website creation to SEO and data analytics for market analysis. It also covers financial management strategies for small restaurants and hotels, as well as CEFR-certified online English language courses.

Participants will benefit from a blended online-onsite learning system, ensuring accessibility across all regions. The program emphasizes practical skills to increase income opportunities and elevate service standards to international levels. This effort supports the goal of attracting 38 million foreign tourists in 2025, potentially generating over $63 billion in revenue.

Join the movement to make Thailand the "Leading Tourism Hub of ASEAN." Start developing your skills today for growth opportunities in the global market!
