As the world focuses on AI ethics, Thailand is stepping up. Recently, Thailand was honored to co-host “The 3rd UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of AI 2025,”
a major international event bringing together leaders and AI experts from 194 countries to discuss responsible and fair AI use. The conference is set for June 24–27, 2025, in Bangkok.
UNESCO’s choice of Thailand goes beyond “readiness”. it reflects Thailand’s strong commitment through four key pillars:
A national AI strategy emphasizing ethics and good governance, launched in 2022.
An AI Governance Center (AIGC) under the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), establishing comprehensive AI control standards.
Active global engagement, continuously shaping AI policies with UNESCO.
A robust digital infrastructure positioning Thailand as a regional hub for Asia-Pacific collaboration.
Thailand stands to gain by showcasing its leadership in sustainable AI, setting global standards, and launching the AI Governance Practice Center to advance research, innovation, and international cooperation into real-world action.
