The Government is Ready to Urgently Assist in the Recovery of Flood-affected Areas in Chiang Rai.

On September 26, 2024, the Flood Relief Operations Center (FROC) held a meeting to plan the recovery of areas affected by flooding in Chiang Rai. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the urgency of action, particularly in assisting victims facing mud-related challenges that complicate recovery efforts. The working group has clearly delineated operational zones and set timelines for rehabilitation to help residents return to their normal lives as quickly as possible.


The government plans to systematically address flooding and mud issues, especially in Chiang Rai. The Prime Minister has instructed that urgent and continuous assistance be provided, along with measures to streamline compensation payments for victims. The Prime Minister will visit the area on September 27-28, 2024, to assess the situation and listen to community concerns, ensuring that aid is delivered swiftly and effectively.
