The Ministry of Commerce has emphasized the importance of Thailand's gem and jewelry exports, which rank as the third highest export product in terms of value for the country. This initiative aims to create more trade opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs while aligning with global trends in gem and jewelry fashion for 2024.
Recent data indicates that from January to November 2023, Thailand's gem and jewelry exports reached approximately $8.25 billion, marking a 9.81% increase compared to the previous year. This growth highlights the strength of Thailand's gem industry and encourages businesses to monitor fashion trends and develop products that meet market demands, particularly those that are unique and sustainable.
Furthermore, the Ministry advises entrepreneurs to explore diverse sales channels to reach various consumer segments and to leverage tax benefits from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) while seeking new partnerships to enhance competitive capabilities.
The Ministry of Commerce remains committed to fully supporting Thai entrepreneurs in driving the country's gem and jewelry industry forward, aiming to establish Thailand as a true global hub for gem and jewelry trade.
