Routes for Mourners and Tourists Visiting the Grand Palace

Members of the public will be allowed to pay their respects to the late Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother in Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall within the Grand Palace from 9 November 2025 onwards, between 08.00 and 21.00 hr.

Visitation for mourners to pay their respects to the late Queen Mother before the royal urn is divided into four daily sessions.
- The first session, from 08.00 to 10.45 hr;
- The second session, from 12.00 to 16.45 hr;
- The third session, from 17.45 to 18.30 hr; and
- The fourth session, from 19.45 to 21.00 hr

The Route to Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall for Mourners Paying Their Last Respects to Her Majesty the Queen Mother and the Route for Tourists Visiting the Grand Palace

The Route to Pay Respects to the Late Queen Mother from 08.00 to 15.30 hr, during Tourism Opening Hours

Mourners will enter through the Mani Noppharat Gate, opposite Sanam Luang ceremonial ground, turn left, passing the ticket office, and then turn right, entering the automatic door. They will then turn left and walk along the cloisters in the southern part toward the Si Rattana Satsada Gate, passing the Phra Maha Monthian group of buildings and Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall, before entering the compound of Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall on the eastern side. After paying their last respects to the late Queen Mother, they will leave Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall on the western side through the Si Sunthon Gate and exit via the Thewa Phirom Gate.

The Route to Pay Respects to the Late Queen Mother from 15.30 to 21.00 hr, during Tourism Closing Hours

Mourners will enter through the Mani Noppharat Gate and turn right toward the Royal Medical Division, and then turn left at the intersection of the Wiset Chai Si Garrison, entering Chakri Charan Road via the Phiman Chai Si Gate. Afterwards, they will turn right in front of Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall and enter the compound of Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the eastern part. After paying their last respects to the late Queen Mother, they will leave the compound of Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall on the western side through the Si Sunthon Gate and exit via the Thewa Phirom Gate.

The Route for Tourists Visiting the Grand Palace

Tourists will enter the Mani Noppharat Gate, turn left, passing the ticket office, and then turn right, entering the automatic door. They will turn right and walk along the cloisters to appreciate the beauty of the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Then they will walk through the Si Rattana Satsada Gate to view the Phra Maha Monthian and Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall groups of buildings. Afterwards, they will turn right in front of Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall via the Phiman Chai Si Gate. They will turn left via the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, and then turn right at the intersection of the Royal Ceremonial Division Building and exit via the Wiman Thewet Gate.

Dress Code for Mourners Paying Respects to the Late Queen Mother

- Men: They are requested to dress in respectful mourning attire; jeans are not permitted.
- Women: They are requested to dress in respectful mourning attire and required to wear fabric skirts or traditional wrap skirts.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will offer loan skirts for women who arrive without proper attire. The loan skirts will be available at the Na Phra Lan tunnel. The returning point for the loan skirts is at the Thewa Phirom Gate area.

The Royal Thai Police will arrange an electric tram shuttle service from the Thewa Phirom Gate to the MRT Sanan Chai Station and the Sanam Luang parking lot.
