On October 25, 2024, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, chaired a meeting of the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) at the Olympic Committee of Thailand’s office in Bangkok. High-ranking representatives from ASEAN nations participated in the meeting.
Mr. Sorawong warmly welcomed the delegates and confirmed Thailand’s readiness to host the 33rd SEA Games, set for December 7-19, 2025. He affirmed that the country has made comprehensive preparations, including infrastructure, sports venues, transportation, and accommodations to fully support athletes and officials from across ASEAN. The event will also emphasize “Green Sports Event” principles in line with sustainable development to minimize environmental impact.
The 33rd SEA Games will be more than just a competition; it will symbolize ASEAN’s friendship, unity, and close cooperation. Thailand is prepared to extend a warm welcome to all athletes, officials, and attendees, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of camaraderie and highlighting ASEAN sports' solidarity and resilience as we move forward to elevate regional sports to new heights.
