Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul kicked off his first engagement upon arriving in Hanoi by meeting with representatives from the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (ThaiCham) and Thai private sector leaders operating in the country. The session focused on gathering feedback and exchanging perspectives on business opportunities and challenges in Vietnam.
The Prime Minister emphasized his "Growing Together" vision, highlighting Vietnam's critical role in global manufacturing supply chains alongside Thailand's strengths in industry, services, logistics, and regional connectivity. He noted that the two nations hold strong potential to become "strategic partners" in driving ASEAN's economic future forward.
The Premier also underscored the value of private sector input, stressing that business feedback is essential for shaping targeted government policies and support measures. He confirmed that all recommendations raised during the meeting would be forwarded to relevant agencies to ensure Thailand's business community receives effective and practical government support.
As a highlight of the visit, Prime Minister Anutin witnessed the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) between Thai and Vietnamese private sector parties:
• Amata Group × FPT Corporation — Cooperation on smart industrial estate standard development
• CP Group × FPT Corporation — Cooperation on artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
With shared ambitions and strengthening partnerships, Thailand and Vietnam appear poised to write the next chapter of ASEAN's economic story — together.
