King and Queen of Thailand Warmly Welcome Nepal’s Prime Minister Strengthening Comprehensive Bilateral Cooperation

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Majesty Queen Suthida of Thailand graciously welcomed Nepalese Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli and his wife, Mrs. Radhika Shakya, on their official visit to Thailand as guests of the Thai government.

The welcoming ceremony took place at 6:12 p.m. on April 2, 2025. This marks Prime Minister Oli’s first official visit to Thailand since diplomatic relations were established between the two countries in 1959. The visit represents a significant step forward in enhancing comprehensive cooperation, especially in trade, investment, and agriculture, as well as in public health and tourism.

Discussions also covered collaboration in the service sector, education, and support for agricultural products. Both sides exchanged views on addressing the impacts of climate change and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties within multilateral frameworks on the global stage.

This visit not only reinforces the long-standing diplomatic relationship between Thailand and Nepal but also opens new opportunities for sustainable cooperation across economic, social, and environmental spheres. It stands as a testament to the strong partnership and shared commitment to a brighter, more resilient future for both nations.
