Five Religions Unite in Faith to Honor Her Majesty the Queen on the Auspicious Occasion of Her 48th Birthday Anniversary

The Ministry of Culture, through the Department of Religious Affairs, in collaboration with public and private sector networks representing Thailand’s five major religions, is organizing nationwide commemorative activities to honor Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s 48th Birthday Anniversary on 3 June 2026.

The celebrations aim to bring together people of all faiths in a collective expression of loyalty, gratitude, and devotion to Her Majesty the Queen.

At the national level, a grand Interfaith Religious Ceremony of Five Religions will be held on Thursday, 4 June 2026, at the National Theatre, bringing together representatives and followers of all faiths to offer blessings for Her Majesty. Additional activities in Bangkok include a Vipassana meditation program for the public at Wat Dhammamongkol on Sukhumvit Road, Soi 101, and a Buddhist chanting ceremony (Navaggahayusamatham) at Wat Ratchapradit on Saranrom Raod to promote auspiciousness and well-being for the nation.

Religious organizations from all five faiths are jointly conducting commemorative and community service activities in accordance with their respective teachings:

▪️ Buddhism – Buddhist chanting ceremonies, merit-making and almsgiving activities, and charitable events nationwide.

▪️ Islam – Special commemorative gatherings and prayers (Du’a) for peace, prosperity, and national harmony.

▪️ Christianity – Thanksgiving Masses and prayer services held by various Christian denominations in honor of Her Majesty.

▪️ Brahmanism/Hinduism – Sacred prayer and worship ceremonies at the Devasathan (Royal Brahmin Shrine) in Bangkok to offer blessings for Her Majesty.

▪️ Sikhism – Kirtan hymn recitations and Ardas prayers, together with the operation of a “Guru’s Community Kitchen” providing 300 sets of essential consumer goods to the public as an act of service dedicated to the royal merit of Her Majesty.

In the provinces, the Religious Affairs Department is working closely with Provincial Cultural Offices across all 76 provinces to organize commemorative activities tailored to local traditions and cultural contexts. These activities encourage citizens to apply religious principles in their daily lives, strengthen social harmony, and contribute to the sustainable development of a peaceful and compassionate society under the benevolent patronage of the monarchy.
