The film industry is buzzing as Thai ghost films are achieving massive success and making a significant impact in international markets. From Taiwan to Indonesia, these films have been exceptionally well-received, earning record-breaking revenues.

One of the most notable Thai ghost films in the Taiwanese market this year is “The Undertaker,” a horror-comedy directed by Thiti Srinual, a famous filmmaker from the “Thibaan Universe.” The film grossed over 700 million baht. Another standout is “The Medium,” directed by Taweewat Wanta, which brought in over 500 million baht. These films have captured the attention of Taiwanese audiences, further solidifying the popularity of Thai ghost films in Taiwan’s film market. Over the years, Taiwan has seen numerous successful Thai ghost films, from “Nang Nak” to “Shutter,” “Alone,” “Laddaland,” “Pee Mak,” and “The Medium,” all of which have performed exceptionally well at the Taiwanese box office.

Thai ghost films have not only gained popularity but have also been widely accepted in international markets. This success presents a continuous growth opportunity for the Thai ghost film industry, further enhancing Thailand's reputation in the global film industry. Additionally, this trend has led to collaborative promotional activities between Thai films released in Taiwan and e-commerce platforms specializing in Thai products, such as PChome Thai Shopping. This initiative has also received a positive response, serving as a means to promote and leverage Thailand’s Soft Power.
