The "Huai Wang Ngiang Reservoir" project, along with its water distribution system initiated by royal command, was launched on June 22, 2015, with support from His Majesty the King.It aims to provide quality water for agriculture and consumption in the Ban Nam Phu Phatthana community, Huai Si Siad Subdistrict, Phu Luang District, Loei Province.
Over the years, this project has demonstrated its significance in addressing drought and flooding issues in the area, which is surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature but often faces problems with flash floods and water shortages during the rainy season. Therefore, the Huai Wang Ngiang Reservoir was developed to enhance water management efficiency in the region.
The reservoir was completed on September 30, 2021, with a capacity of 638,000 cubic meters.Currently, 6 villages with a total of 820 households can access this water source, supporting irrigation development over 1,628 rai.A water distribution system has been installed with approximately 8 kilometers of piping to ensure effective water management.
This project not only alleviates drought and flooding but also creates job opportunities and income for local residents, improving their quality of life.The community can develop sustainable agriculture while boosting the local economy.The Huai Wang Ngiang Reservoir serves as a clear example of sustainable development that benefits both the community and the environment, effectively meeting future water needs.
