From June 8 to 12, 2024, Thai vocational education took another significant step forward with the opening of a workshop to develop the Thai-Chinese dual vocational certificate curriculum. This collaboration with vocational colleges from the People's Republic of China marks an important advancement in elevating Thai vocational education to international standards.
Under this collaboration, curricula in 19 fields of study and 5 courses in Chinese language and culture are being developed through partnerships between 35 vocational colleges in Thailand and China. This cooperation focuses on modernizing the curriculum to align with contemporary technologies and innovations relevant to each vocational field, both in manufacturing and services.
The conference not only aims to develop curricula that meet the needs of learners and the domestic labor market but also emphasizes alignment with international qualifications to prepare Thai vocational students for competitiveness at the ASEAN level, in line with the National Economic and Social Development Plan.
This collaboration between Thai and Chinese vocational education is a crucial step in advancing Thai vocational education to an international level, providing students with opportunities to learn modern skills and technologies that meet future labor market demands, both in Thailand and the ASEAN region.
