Six Outstanding BCG Research Projects on High-Value Agriculture and Food

Thailand's agricultural and food products have historically been of low value due to their unprocessed or minimally processed nature, resulting in low market prices. Therefore, technology and innovation must be employed to increase value, establish standards, ensure safety, and better meet consumer needs.

  2. Hom Siam Rice : A new variety resistant to disease and pests, providing high yields, was developed by NSTDA to address quality rice cultivation.
  3. Powdered Rice Milk Product : This rice milk powder enhances immunity and provides antioxidants, helping farmers increase their income and promoting sustainable production.
  4. Technology for Controlling Fruit Flies in Mangoes : This technology reduces mango damage and raises export standards, thereby increasing prices and expanding opportunities in international markets.
  5. Plant-Based Chicken Breast : A plant-based chicken product catering to the health market, offering potential growth and income in the food industry.
