Planning for Retirement in Thailand: Documents Required for the Long Stay O-X Visa Application

For those wishing to apply for a Long Stay O-X visa to reside long-term in Thailand, suitable for foreigners aged 50 and above, the following qualifications and documents are required:

Qualifications:
Applicants must hold citizenship from one of the 14 designated countries: the United Kingdom, Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, the United States, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Japan, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

Applicants must have a deposit in a Thai bank not less than 3 million THB or have a deposit of 1.8 million THB, and an annual income of at least 1.2 million THB. Additionally, applicants must have health insurance in Thailand, no criminal record and don’t have the following diseases: Leprosy, Tuberculosis in a dangerous stage, Elephantiasis, drug addiction, and third-stage Syphilis. The medical certificate must be valid for no more than 3 months. The spouse and legally recognized children can apply for a dependent visa.
