In an era where environmental issues and climate change are becoming increasingly important, the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) Pillar III, which focuses on a clean and environmentally friendly economy, has become an essential tool for driving Thailand’s economy towards sustainability. Under this concept, Thailand and 13 other member countries will jointly develop clean technologies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote environmentally friendly investments.
Thailand's goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in industry and transportation, using advanced technologies such as solar energy, batteries, and hydrogen fuel, which is an increasingly popular clean energy source. Moreover, IPEF cooperation opens opportunities for Thailand to adapt by employing technology in resource management, such as using drones in agriculture to reduce emissions and decreasing burning in agricultural practices.
Driving the green economy and developing new technologies under IPEF Pillar III is an important opportunity for Thailand to elevate growth while creating new opportunities for environmentally friendly technology development and investment. However, achieving these goals requires collaboration and support from all sectors, including government, private, and public, to ensure sustainable growth.
