January travel events calendar: Yoyot Ying Fah Ayutthaya World Heritage Site 2022 between 20 - 29 January 2023
31st Yoyot Ying Fah Ayutthaya World Heritage Shite Fair 2022 will be held between 20-29 January from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Ayutthaya Historical Park area, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. This is to celebrate the 31st anniversary of registration of Ayutthaya as a World Heritage City by UNESCO
At the event, there are many activities to welcome both Thai and foreign tourists, including a spectacular light and sound show, folk performances and Thai traditional dances, exhibition and sale of community products and OTOP products based on local wisdom. There is also a grand opening parade, a fire exhibition in the retro market, Khon performances, and Thai traditional dramatic performances.
The Ayutthaya Historical Park has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name “Historic City of Ayutthaya” at the 15th World Heritage Committee Meeting in 1991 at Carthage, Tunisia. Ayutthaya Historical Park covers an area of 1,810 rai in the Ayutthaya City Island area. At present, the Historic City of Ayutthaya still shows traces of the prosperity of great, beautiful and valuable arts and culture, that reflect the elegance of castles, palaces, temples, fortresses and residential houses as well as the way of life of People of Ayutthaya in the past. The architectures, paintings, sculptures, fine arts and literature of the Historic City of Ayutthaya also show the highest prosperity of communal civilization in Southeast Asia during the 19th -24th centuries AD.
