The Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labor, is organizing the 29th National Skill Competition from 22 to 24 May 2023 at the Skill Development Institute 1, Samut Prakan, with over 300 Thai youths joining the competition.
This 29th National Skills Competition will be held to promote the potential of Thai workers to be accepted by the domestic and international labor markets, as well as to select young people to represent Thailand in the 13th ASEAN Skills Competition in the Republic of Singapore, the 2nd Asean Skills Competition in the United Arab Emirates and the 47th International Skills Competition in the Republic of France.
The competition consists of 25 programs and one demonstration program, totaling 26 programs. Three hundred and sixty-eight young participants are joining the competition from 22 to 24 May at the Samut Prakan Skill Development Institute where 18 programs are being held in the competition, which are Mechatronics (Team), Welding Technology, Electronics, Industrial Automation (Team), Information Technology, Web Technology, Flower Arrangement, Fashion Technology, Graphic Design, Automotive Technology, Paint Repair, Tile Laying, Electrical Technology, Bricklaying, Wood Furniture, Corner Assembly, Refrigeration Technology, and Hairdressing.
Sripatum University is organizing another eight programs in the competition in the field of 3D game modeling (demonstration field) on 18-19 May. Meanwhile, Chitralada Vocational School is organizing a competition in the field of cooking on 20-21 May.
At the Institute of Skill Development in Chonburi, the competition of CNC machining (lathe) and CNC machining (milling) are being held from 19 to 24 May, as well as a competition in the field of computerized mechanical drawing and the field of dimensional metrology (team).
The food and beverage services competition is being held from 22 to 24 May, at the College of Labor, Institute of Skill Development, in Bangkok.
The final competition is being held at the Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna in the field of mobile robotics from 22 to 24 May.
