Entrepreneurs who are manufacturers, importers, distributors or service providers who wish to apply for permission for use of the “Green Label” and certificates should contact the Thailand Environment Institute or apply for Green Label certification through online channels to download the application form and related documents at the website http://www.tei.or.th/greenlabel/name-list.html, free of charge.
As for the conditions for Green Label certification, the applicant must be qualified and comply with the following conditions:
- The applicant must be a person or juristic person registered in Thailand with the objectives of producing, importing, or distributing goods or providing services that qualify for the right to use the Green Label;
- The applicant must have its own legally registered trademark or be in the process of applying for trademark registration;
- The applicant must be a person who has terminated the contract and the right to use the green label or has been revoked the certification except after 6 months.
- The applicant must comply with general requirements, guidelines, and the form of product certification used to certify all relevant products;
- In the case of an importer or distributor, they must prepare and provide the documents along with the Green Label certification form in Thai.
The Green Label certification fee is for accepting applications and verification of documents for applying for an extension of the scope of the original product certification; the charge is 3,000 baht/ application, with no limit on the number of models and fees. When it is approved to use of the Green Label is approved, the charge will be 8,000 baht/ year per model.
The assessment team will inspect, monitor, and verify the status of management, in accordance with the Green Label requirements, once a year or more, to ensure that certified products comply with the requirements of the Green Label.
