Green Tourism: Admire the "Curcuma sessilis" at Pa Hin Ngam National Park in Chaiyaphum Province, ready to bloom once a year during the rainy season

     Natural explorers or green tourism enthusiasts should not miss a trip to admire the beauty of “Dok Krajiew” or Curcuma sessilis flower field at Pa Hin Ngam National Park in Chaiyaphum Province, which blooms during the rainy season of each year, available for admiration only once a year.

     The Curcuma sessilis is a herbaceous plant with tubers that produce pink to purple flowers at the beginning of the rainy season, earning the nickname "Queen of the Rainforest". Visitors will witness a sea of pink, as the area is filled with these flowers.

     Pa Hin Ngam National Park, located in Chaiyaphum Province, is one of the places where you can observe the famous Thai Curcuma sessilis, which only blooms during the rainy season of each year. The Department of Highways has made efforts to ensure roads are convenient and safe to promote the economy, tourism, and spread income to the community.

     Visitors can safely travel to Pa Hin Ngam National Park during the rainy season, with the route connecting conveniently to other tourist attractions in the nearby area. To travel from Bangkok, use Highway No.1 (Phahonyothin Road) passing through Saraburi Province, heading towards Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Follow the route of Dan Khun Thot district using Highway No. 2011 to Nong Bua Khok junction, turn left to Highway No.205 towards Ban Phue district to Thep Sathit district. Use Highway No.2354 for about 13 kilometers to reach the Pa Hin Ngam National Park. Pa Hin Ngam National Park is located in the mountain range of Ban Rai Sub-district, Thep Sathit District, Chaiyaphum Province.

     Pa Hin Ngam National Park is open for tourists from June to August. Besides the Curcuma sessilis field, other popular attractions include "Lan Hin Ngam", an area filled with large strangely shaped rocks, and the "Edge of the Plateau" viewpoint, located at the highest point of the Pang Yai Mountain range, 846 meters above sea level.
