Seven exciting destinations to visit this rainy season - Kaeng Hin Poeng Riverside, Prachin Buri

If we're talking about rainy season adventures, whitewater rafting is definitely a popular activity everyone should give a go. Especially fun when done in groups, one place you cannot miss is the Kaeng Hin Poeng Riverside. This spot is one of the top whitewater rafting sites in Thailand, located in the Kao Yai National Park (Sai Yai), in Nadi district of Prachin Buri province.

Kaeng Hin Poeng is one of those rafting routes where the difficulty levels lie between 3 and 4, spanning over a distance of 4.5 km. Your typical raft can hold around 8 to 10 people, and it will take you about two hours to navigate through these waters. You'll pass through rapids like Wang Bon, Luk Suea, Wang Sai, and the last one, Ngu Hao. The best time to visit is during the rainy season, from around July to October, when the river is full and the landscape is at its greenest.

Kaeng Hin Poeng's terrain is characterized by slick, sloping rocks that create swirling currents and many exciting twists and turns. The rafting guides need to be skillful and extremely cautious to avoid colliding with the rocky rapids and prevent the raft from tipping over. As you navigate these challenging waters, it's customary to shout out loud to boost the morale of your paddlers. And, in some stretches where the current is gentle, you can even take a quick dive into the cool water for a swim!

No wonder Kaeng Hin Poeng Riverside is a popular destination during the rainy season. If you are an adventure-seeking traveler, this is a place you must visit at least once!
