The procedure for inspecting individuals departing Thailand through a border checkpoint

     Once you are aware of the procedures for entering Thailand through a land border checkpoint via land transportation, exiting the country becomes equally important. To facilitate travel, it is necessary to know the following correct steps, which consist of the processes for inspecting individuals who are departing Thailand through a border checkpoint:

  1. Present your passport to the officer;
  2. The officer will verify the correctness of the passport and the individual's information;
  3. Verify the validity of the entry permit:

- If the permit has not expired, check the individual in the system. If there is no record of an issue, take a photo, record the data in the system, stamp the passport, and then return it to the individual;
- If there are any issues, the person is sent to the head of the inspection team to check and control the situation, and to take any further action, as necessary;
- If the permit has expired, a fine will be imposed before the person is allowed to leave the country.

The documents required for inspection upon arrival and departure consist of the following:

  1. A passport or any document used in place of a passport.
  2. An arrival-and-departure card (Tor Mor 6).
