Instructions for inbound passengers going through the airport
Each day, a large number of foreigners enter Thailand through airlines. All inbound passengers entering Thailand are required to fill in their personal information on Inbound Passenger Document No. 6 prepared by the Immigration Office as a proof of contact while staying in Thailand. The airline staff will give passengers the form to fill out before the plane lands.
Visas and travel documents
Passengers without an arrival visa may apply for a visa at the arrivals counter with two 1-inch photos and pay a fee of 300 baht; there is an express photography service inside the airport for 120 baht (four photos).
Re-entry permits for departing passengers
Passengers whose visa status requires a re-entry permit prior to travel must notify the service desk at the airport before departure.
Customs for inbound passengers
Inbound passengers are required to complete a Prohibited Goods Declaration form with a customs officer. Passengers with no items to declare should proceed to the Green Channel (no items to declare), whereas passengers with items to declare should proceed to the Red Channel (items must be declared) together with a completed Prohibited Items Declaration form. If a prohibited item is found, Customs officers will seize the item and the passenger will be fined four times the price of the item.
