The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advancing the policies of 'Diplomacy for the People' and 'Proactive Economic Diplomacy,' emphasizing tangible outcomes in every dimension.

After assuming the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa announced a new vision focused on driving Thailand's foreign policy forward by emphasizing that "Diplomacy for the People" and "Proactive Economic Diplomacy" will be key approaches that all parties can clearly grasp for the benefit of the people and the Thai economy across all dimensions.

This diplomatic policy focuses on addressing the daily issues of citizens, such as cross-border problems, international transportation, as well as environmental issues affecting people along the Mekong River and PM 2.5 dust problem. Additionally, it promotes the issuance of a long-term visa called "Destination Thailand Visa" to attract foreign investors and tourists while negotiating with neighboring ASEAN countries to create a joint visa system similar to Europe's Schengen Visa.

Regarding the economy, the Ministry aims to leverage Thailand's "soft power" to gain global recognition, whether through Thai products, tourism, or culture, by connecting local Thai cooperation with international partners. This will help generate income and improve the quality of life for Thai citizens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms its readiness to be at the forefront of promoting the Thai government's policies fully, aiming for cooperation both domestically and internationally, leading to security and prosperity for the people.
