Free Shuttle Service on Red Line to Chatuchak Weekend Market

Good news for shopping enthusiasts! Starting from October 5, 2024, the Red Line commuter train is offering a free shuttle service every Saturday and Sunday, making travel to Chatuchak Market seamless and cost-free.

Beginning October 5, 2024, the Red Line commuter train will provide a free shuttle service every weekend, connecting passengers from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Station (Gate 13) to Chatuchak Market near the Red Building. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., making travel convenient, eliminating the need for personal vehicles thus, reducing traffic. This service aligns with the government’s policy to promote public transportation usage.

This shuttle service is part of the Feeder Development Project, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of public transport systems. It provides smooth and convenient connections between major stations and various destinations. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) Electric Train Company will initially run this service for three months and may extend it further based on user feedback.
