Visit the Aranyik Knife Village in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, where traditional craftsmanship has been passed down from blacksmiths since the Ayutthaya period.

Aranyik Knife Village is another interesting place for those who wish to experience the ancient wisdom of blacksmiths, passed down since the Ayutthaya period. Originally, these knives were used in battles, but today they have been transformed into various household items, such as kitchen knives, wood-cutting knives, and more, while still maintaining the meticulous and detailed traditional production methods.

Aranyik Knife Village is located in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality knives crafted by artisans from Vientiane, who were brought here since the early Rattanakosin period. The village has gained fame for its beautiful and durable knives. The production here utilizes bamboo in the iron smelting process,as it provides high heat, making the knives stronger than others.Additionally, the tradition of paying respect to the master craftsman is maintained as a way to honor the wisdom of blacksmiths.

Aranyik Knife Village is not only a cultural learning center; it also offers homestay accommodations for tourists to stay, observe knife-making processes, try forging knives themselves, and purchase Aranyik knives—one of Ayutthaya's durable and timeless souvenirs.
