Revitalize Thai Marine Tourism by Promoting “Seaplane Operations” Boost Tourism and Generate National Revenue

Ever wanted to enjoy stunning sea views up close, fly over islands, and experience a new way of traveling?

Get ready! Seaplanes are set to become a unique travel option in Thailand soon. This initiative, driven by the Deputy Minister of Transport, aligns with the government's policy to enhance the country's air transport system, making it more efficient and capable of handling the growing number of passengers and flights.

A seaplane is a special type of aircraft that can take off and land on water, making it ideal for traveling to various islands or hard-to-reach areas. This mode of travel saves time and offers an exceptional travel experience.

Bringing seaplanes into operation involves several steps, including planning, drafting laws, setting safety standards, preparing water airports, training personnel, and conducting flight tests. As of June 2024, laws regarding the criteria, methods, and standards for seaplane services have been enacted, and preparations for water airports are underway.

Seaplanes will soon be an extraordinary travel option in Thailand, allowing us to experience a new way of traveling, enjoy stunning sea views up close, save time, and travel conveniently. Just wait a little longer, and get ready to fly over the beautiful Thai seas! ✈️
