The grandest traditional festival of Phayao Province, held annually to invite devotees from all walks of life to pay homage to "Phra Chao Ton Luang," the largest and most ancient bronze Buddha image in the Maravijaya attitude in the Lanna region, bringing auspiciousness during the most sacred moment of the "Paet Peng" full moon night.

The term "Paet Peng" is a local expression of the Lanna people.
