One Stop Service for Visa and Work Permit "Supporting High-Skilled Foreigners"

The government aims to increase competitiveness with other countries by promoting Thailand as a hub for high-skilled foreign workers. Through the One Stop Service center, over 56,000 visas and work permits have been approved, reflecting the success of economic stimulus measures and living conditions that attract foreigners to work in Thailand.

The government has implemented measures to facilitate various types of visa issuance, resulting in a continuous approval of visas and work permits for foreign personnel in Thailand. This is managed through the One Stop Service center located at Chamchuri Square, as well as the online SINGLE WINDOW Visa and Work Permit System. This system includes foreign personnel working under investment promotion projects, long-term resident visas (LTR Visa), and visas that attract high-skilled personnel and investors in the country's target industries (Smart Visa).

he Board of Investment (BOI), in collaboration with the Immigration Bureau and the Ministry of Labour, has continuously facilitated high-skilled and specialized foreigners, investors, and those wishing to work in Thailand. The long-term resident visa (LTR Visa) aims to attract four groups of high-potential foreigners: 1) Specialists 2) Remote workers 3) Wealthy individuals 4) Retirees, including their dependents. They can stay in Thailand for 10 years with unlimited entries and exits, and are permitted to work. The personal income tax rate for high-skilled specialists is reduced to 17%, and the reporting period to the Immigration Bureau is extended from every 90 days to once a year. This visa has been granted to experts and senior executives from leading global organizations investing or establishing offices in Thailand.

"The Prime Minister prioritizes attracting investment and enhancing Thailand's competitiveness. He believes that improving and amending various measures will be key tools in attracting foreigners to work long-term, stimulating investment in modern and targeting industries within the country."
